What can Fraxel laser technology treat?

How does Fraxel laser treatment work?

The Fraxel laser produces thousands of tiny, fine laser beams that penetrate deeply into your skin. The laser removes damaged areas and stimulates the growth of fresh, healthy skin cells.

Fraxel laser treatment is a fast, walk-in, walk-out procedure with minimal discomfort. You should be able to easily fit treatments into your routine.

How many treatments will I need?

Everyone is different. However, our doctors usually recommend 1-3 treatments spaced 2-4 weeks apart for you to achieve the best results possible.

What happens during and after the treatment?

Before the treatment, the therapist will cleanse your skin and apply anaesthetic ointment. During the procedure you will feel some prickling and afterwards your skin may be tender and pinkish for the following few days. Some people experience swelling or a little peeling or bronze discolouration, which can last from a 2-14 days. We recommend all Fraxel laser patients moisturise and avoid sunburn and scratching to promote the best healing and final result.

However, this is all temporary – you are healing and your new skin emerging!
