What is involved in mole removal?

When removing moles for cosmetic purposes, we use our advanced Ellman Surgitron equipment. This removes the raised section of a mole right down to skin level. Whilst moles often also exist in part under the skin level, this process is highly effective in reducing or eliminating the appearance of unwanted moles.

This is a very precise procedure. You’ll be given a local anaesthetic, so you won’t feel any discomfort. It also means there is no cutting or stitching required. You’ll be able to walk out of the clinic within minutes.

Our trained staff will thoroughly examine any moles you want removed. If there is any doubt over their safety in relation to cancer risk, they will recommend that the mole is totally excised/cut out and sent for analysis.

The results of this process are immediate – the mole is gone straight away. The skin around the site may appear a bit yellow for a few days, but this will soon return to normal. After treatment, you simply need to apply an ointment we supply and cover it with a bandaid for a few days.
