Veins can be caused by genetics, pregnancy, hormones and extended periods of standing and women have the problem and many women get them. However that does not mean you should have to put up with them ruining your life when there are safe and affordable treatments to treat them.
Here at The Ashley Centre we have all the latest technology for vein treatment. We now have several less invasive treatments that are extremely effective and offer reduced recovery time.
Our starting point is always the same. We thoroughly assess your veins, gain an understanding of what you would like to achieve and then explain your options.
Varicose Veins
- Sclerotherapy - This is the most commonly used non-surgical treatment of choice for larger and smaller veins, as it is very effective and eliminates down time. Tiny microinjections of medications cause the treated veins to collapse and disappear. This does not require an anaesthetic.
- Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy - A variation on sclerotherapy for veins that cannot be fully seen from the surface. This uses ultrasound to use micro injected foam that causes the vein to collapse and disappear.
- Endovascular Laser Treatment - New technique that gives reduced recovery time versus surgery. This uses a very small fibre optic probe and laser light to heat the vein from the inside which then shrinks permanently.
- Ambulatory Phlebectomy - A lower impact surgical option than traditional vein removal that offers relatively quick recovery and the convenience of a single procedure.
Spider Veins
- Laser Treatment - This is the main treatment for small red spider veins on the faceas it allows precise targeting of these and minimal recovery time. Some small leg and body veins respond well to laser treatment.
